The gender violence in Angola turned into a social problem that reached extreme and worrying levels, with emphasis on physical, psychological, labour, economic and sexual violence.

This was said to Angop on Friday by the secretary general of the ruling MPLA party's women wing (OMA), Luzia Inglês, during the launching act of 16-day campaign of activism against gender violence, taking place from 25 November to 10 December in Luanda.

According to her, OMA urges the Angolan families to stick to tolerance, dialogue, respect and mutual understanding as the main marks of socialisation of family.

The official spoke of the need to work on countless and giant challenges, for a promising future of all.

On the other hand, the secretary general of OMA defended the need to give greater dynamism in campaign to divulge the law on domestic violence.
